304th Street Mine
Our 304th Street Mine is a roughly 400-acre property located in the Northeastern corner of Okeechobee County in Ft. Drum. The location began sales operations in October of 2006, receiving FDOT approval to supply Coquina Base Rock on October 24, 2006. The location is roughly 20 miles north of Okeechobee, 15 miles south of SR 60 (Yeehaw Junction) and 3 miles east of SR 441 on 304th Street.
The site sits on one of the oldest Anastasia Formations, which is processed into base rock. The operation also supplies a multitude of other materials including, common fill, shell rock, stabilizer, dredged sand, and topsoil. Additional materials are in process at this time.
Our operation is open Monday through Friday year round. This mine is a continuation of the Dickerson Rucks Mine, or Crystal Mine as known by some, located just across 304th Street from the new location. The location is able to supply materials to jobs large or small, commercial or residential. All materials are sold by the Ton Measurement across our scale facilities. Scale weigh tickets are issued for each load. We also utilize a digital video system to log each transaction.
